Liverpool stand just one point away from becoming champions of England for the 20th time in their history.
The Reds have been utterly dominant in the Premier League this season and Arsenal’s draw with Crystal Palace on Wednesday left them on the brink of glory.
Palace sent a message to Liverpool after leaving the Emirates with a 2-2 draw, with the rest of the Premier League now watching and waiting for the Reds to be crowned.
The first opportunity for Liverpool to get over the line comes on Sunday, with Tottenham Hotspur the visitors at Anfield.
Liverpool have a terrific record against Spurs, especially on home turf, and there will not be many backing Ange Postecoglou and his team to delay the inevitable.
If things go as planned for the Reds and they do become champions this weekend, they will do so with a Liverpool fan on the opposite bench.
Yes, like so many others, Postecoglou is a boyhood Red.

Postecoglou has had a rough time of it this season.
Almost unbelievably, Tottenham sit in 16th position in the Premier League with just five games left.
Ange still has a chance to lift silverware, though, with the Europa League offering the Australian a way to end the season as a hero.

Given the negativity around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium right now, it’s hard to imagine Postecoglou will enjoy seeing any Liverpool celebrations on Sunday, but as he revealed before facing the Reds in September 2023, he is indeed a boyhood fan.
“Well, it was the 70’s, so you kind of went one of two ways seeing that they only used to show Liverpool or Man U at the time,” Ange said when asked about his childhood love for Liverpool.

“A couple of my best mates went for Man U so I went the other way to keep it interesting.
Yeah, look, like any kid I had the posters up on my wall and Liverpool was my team.
It’s just the way life is.”
As well as admitting his affiliation to Liverpool, Postecoglou once even went as far as naming his younger self’s hero while growing up in Australia.
Asked by TNT Sports in December 2024 to name a person he’s been starstruck by during his time in football, Ange said Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish left him speechless.
“I bumped into Kenny Dalglish who was my hero growing up when I was at Anfield,” said the 59-year-old.
“Those ones always [leave him starstuck], yeah.”
Dalglish is likely to be in attendance again at Anfield on Sunday as Liverpool look to wrap things up against Spurs.
It will not be his main focus on the day, but perhaps Ange will allow himself to be transported back to his childhood for a moment as he hopefully witnesses a title being secured at Anfield.
