Liverpool are expected to make at least one more signing after the Reds complete a £79m move for Eintracht Frankfurt star Hugo Ekitike.
The Premier League champions have been very busy this transfer window, bringing in Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Armin Pecsi, and Milos Kerkez for a combined outlay exceeding £170m.
Freddie Woodman also arrived at the club to bolster the goalkeeping department on a free transfer following his release from Preston North End.
Ekitike, who is undergoing his medical in London will become the seventh summer signing for Arne Slot’s side.
Liverpool agreed an initial £69m deal with Frankfurt to sign the 23-year-old.
Ekitike will put pen to paper on a six-year deal after completing the formalities.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano earlier reported that the Reds are not done with their summer rebuild.
He said: “Liverpool are not done yet!”
“Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and now Hugo Ekitike with more signings expected soon”
Darwin Nunez is expected to leave with Juventus the latest club to express interest in signing the 26-year-old this summer.
Bayern Munich and Barcelona are keen on Luis Diaz while the future of Federico Chiesa, who has missed the Asia trip with a minor issue – is uncertain.
Ibrahima Konate’s future is still unresolved as he enters the final year of his contract.
The France defender is an important player for the Reds, having started 30 Premier League games last term.
Talks have taken place but there is still no break through in negotiations.
Having already sold Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen, there remain only three senior centre-backs including Konate, Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, hence Liverpool are on the market for a new centre-back.
Crystal Palace skipper Marc Guehi is on Liverpool’s radar.
According to GIVEMESPORT, the Reds are monitoring Toulouse centre-back Charlie Cresswell?
The Anfield recruitment team scouted him on multiple occasions last season.
Cresswell made the move to the Ligue 1 from Leeds United last summer and enjoyed a successful campaign in France.
The 22-year-old racked up 34 appearances, scored four goals and provided two assists for Toulouse in all competitions last season.
He is also attracting interest from several Premier League clubs, however there is no active move at this stage and remains under consideration as Liverpool assess future defensive options.
