Both clubs are reported to be more "concrete" options for the 25-year-old, who BVB are open to moving on this summer.

Malen, a former Ajax Amsterdam and Arsenal youth player, is said to be looking to leave the Bundesliga side at the end of the season having been linked with an exit from the club in the last transfer window, and there is belief that an offer worth €50 million would be enough to land him.

Malen is currently enjoying one of his best spells for the Schwarzgelben.

The Netherlands international registered an assist in Sunday's 3-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt and has scored seven goals in his last 10 appearances.
