With the transfer window in full flow, Premier League outfits will be keen to step up their business over the coming weeks to welcome new signings to their ranks ahead of pre-season.

Liverpool, Chelesa and Manchester City have all splashed the cash on new additions, with Arsenal plotting a spree of marquee acquisitions of their own as well, which includes Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze.

Manchester United and Tottenham are both in the market for attacking signings, whilst Newcastle will need to bounce back after seeing several of their targets head elsewhere already in recent weeks.

Newcastle 'confident' Isak will pen new deal

Newcastle are reportedly growing ‘increasingly confident’ that Alexander Isak will sign a new contract with the club.

According to Chronicle Live, the Magpies believe that the numbers offered to Sweden international should ‘fend off’ Liverpool, who have shortlisted the striker as one of their top targets.

Newcastle are yet to receive any form of contact from Liverpool at this stage, with Arsenal cooling their interest in Isak at the start of the transfer window.

Man Utd pushing for Ollie Watkins

Manchester United are ‘stepping up’ their interest in Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins.

The Mirror report that the Red Devils have accepted defeat in the race to sign Viktor Gyokeres and have now turned their attention to the England international.

Ruben Amorim’s side have held ‘tentative talks’ with Villa over a potential deal, where they learned that Watkins is valued at £60million by their Premier League rivals – a fee which United are not willing to match at this stage.

Liverpool eye £78m-rated defender

Liverpool are keen to sign RB Leipzig star Castello Lukeba, reports Foot Mercato.

The Reds are in the market for a centre-back, and the Frenchman has been shortlisted as being among their options.

Lukeba’s release clause is set at £78million, but he has an informal agreement in place with Leipzig which could see him depart for less.

Liverpool aren’t along in their interest in the 22-year-old though, with Bayern Munich and Tottenham also keen.

Chelsea among sides plotting hijack

Earlier this week it emerged that Nottingham Forest had reached an agreement to sign Malick Fofana from Lyon.

However, with the move not agreed with the player, several sides are now looking to hijack the deal.

According to the Independent, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal are among those who have made contact with the 20-year-old, who is available for £51.5million.

European giants are also in the picture, including Bayern Munich and Napoli.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with Fofana already this summer and could move to pounce on the opportunity, having now wrapped up their hijack of Newcastle’s top target Joao Pedro.

Arsenal receive Rodrygo encouragement

Arsenal have reportedly been encouraged by Rodrygo’s lack of minutes at the Club World Cup in their pursuit of the winger.

The Mirror report that the Brazilian’s play time in the United States has ‘fuelled belief’ that the Madrid star could be attainable over the coming months.

Arsenal are keen to bolster their ranks with the acquisition of a left-winger, and they are willing to bide their time to see whether Rodrygo could become available.
