Transfer news LIVE!
The summer transfer window has just seven more days to run, and there are still plenty of deals in the pipeline, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United among the clubs working to finalise them.
Rodrygo is their back-up plan as the Real Madrid winger has instructed his agents to find him a new club, with Tottenham also linked.
Spurs have given up on Nico Paz and were said to be interested in Hincapie before Arsenal got involved.
Chukwuemeka joins Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund have announced the signing of Carney Chukwuemeka on a permanent deal from Chelsea.
The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at the Bundesliga side and now joins in a deal worth up to £24m.
Chukwuemeka joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in 2022 for £20m fee.
42 minutes agoRodrygo and Savinho futures connected
Real Madrid winger Rodrygo is a name to keep an eye on in the final week of the summer transfer window.
Tipped to leave the Spanish giants amid links to Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool, the Brazilian reportedly has an £86.6million price-tag on his head.
When discussing Rodrygo's future, journalist Fabrizio Romano feels the 24-year-old's future is linked to what happens with Man City winger Savinho.
He said: “My feeling is that for Man City, the only way to open doors for Savinho to go is if they find the right replacement.
“The player they want remains Rodrygo from Real Madrid but Rodrygo is very expensive – more than €100m [£86.6m].
He has a big salary, Rodrygo is very happy at Real Madrid, so it’s a deal to build.
“I always told you about Man City wanting Rodrygo, but you have to build this one.
This is not something you close in 24 hours.”

On the subject of Newcastle, the club have been offered the chance to sign Dusan Vlahovic.
Journalist Ben Jacobs claims that Juventus hope to use uncertainty over Alexander Isak’s future to offload Vlahovic.
Juve want around £26million (€30m) for the Serbian, with replacement Jonathan David already through the door.
Newcastle are currently not interested, and it remains unclear if Vlahovic is, as they focus on Brentford's Yoane Wissa and Wolves’ Jorgen Strand-Larsen.

1 hour agoIsak to Liverpool twist
Arne Slot hinted he is happy with his striker options after Liverpool beat Newcastle on Monday.
Asked about Liverpool’s interest in Isak, Slot said he hoped the focus could be on Ekitikes’ performance instead.
“I think the story should be about Hugo Ekitike scoring another goal for us,” he said.
“He has been three games with us now, scored three goals, impacted the games he played.
“This is not the place to talk about anything other than that.”

1 hour agoCrystal Palace make Akanji approach after Glasner plea
Crystal Palace have enquired about Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji, amid uncertainty over the future of Liverpool target Marc Guehi, writes Sam Tabuteau.
Palace have yet to submit an official bid for Akanji, who was not included in the City squad for their defeat to Tottenham on Saturday.
But the Eagles have shown an interest in the 30-year-old as they lined up potential replacements for Guehi.
Palace, who sold Eberechi Eze to Arsenal last week, would prefer to sell Guehi this summer as they do not want to risk losing him on a free transfer when his contract expires next summer.
Manchester City are expected to only sanction that transfer if they first sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid.
Frank would ideally like to increase his options at centre-back as well, even if adding more creativity will be prioritised.

3 hours agoNico Paz transfer truth confirmed by Como after Tottenham interest
Tottenham never made a bid for Como star Nico Paz, the Serie A side's owner has confirmed.
It was reported in recent days that Spurs have seen offers rejected for the 20-year-old Argentine, having earlier in the window failed to sign Morgan Gibbs-White and then Eberechi Eze.
Paz is considered one of the brightest young talents in Europe, having come through the Real Madrid academy before a €6million move to Como last summer.
Spurs are said to have made two bids for Paz, the last one totalling more than £60m, but Como owner Mirwan Suwarso has denied the reports.
“It’s not true that we rejected the offer," Suwarso told Corriere della Sera.

3 hours agoChelsea bomb squad latest
Chelsea academy product Tyrique George could also leave this summer due to increased competition in his position, and is attracting interest from Roma, writes Dom Smith.
Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku and George remain with the first-team squad despite uncertainty over their futures, while other players Chelsea are working to move on in the coming days - dubbed the ‘bomb squad’ - continue to train in a separate group.
Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi, David Datro Fofana and Alfie Gilchrist are all available before Monday’s 7pm deadline.
Sterling and Chilwell have long been frozen out at Chelsea and are on high wages, so there is an acceptance that options are limited and that avenues for the ex-England pair to exit the club may only emerge on deadline day.
Bournemouth have a strong interest in centre-back Disasi, whose preference is to stay in the Premier League.
A permanent sale was initially the plan for Gilchrist, but, failing that, he will be loaned out, with a host of Championship clubs open to bringing him in for the season.
