The new Premier League season gets up and running on Friday, and all 20 clubs face a race against time to make further signings before the big kick-off.

Perhaps the biggest remaining talking point concerns Alexander Isak.



Liverpool have been pushing to sign the Newcastle star, with a bid knocked back, and Isak is still a Newcastle player - for now.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish indicated the Eagles may be forced to sell, and the Premier League champions may come back in for the England star after having bids rejected.

Elsewhere, Manchester United and Arsenal have secured big signings but could have more work to do.

Arsenal are chasing another Palace star in the form of Eberechi Eze, while out-of-favour PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has been linked with United.

Other big deals potentially in the pipeline include Chelsea's pursuit of Xavi Simons, while Jack Grealish is close to joining Everton on loan from Manchester City.

Jacob Ramsey would favour a move to Newcastle, according to The Athletic.

The Aston Villa star is at a standstill over a new contract with the club, with his current deal due to expire in 2027.

England Under-21 international Ramsey is said to be keen to work with Newcastle boss Eddie Howe, though West Ham are also admirers of the midfielder.

Alexander Isak has already moved out of his Newcastle home as he eyes an exit, according to The Times.

The paper reports that the property has been put on the rental market.

Isak has reportedly told Newcastle he won't play for the club again, but Liverpool have yet to meet the Magpies' valuation of the striker.

Baleba might end up being out of United's price range this summer unless they can bring in fees for out-of-favour stars.

Donnarumma might come cheaper, though, with Ruben Amorim forced to decide if he prefers the Italian to current stopper Andre Onana.

Leicester's Bilal El Khannouss is interesting Newcastle, according to The Telegraph.

The Moroccan international was a rare bright spark as the Foxes were relegated last season.

Leicester have already lost another of the stars of last season, with goalkeeper Mads Hermansen joining West Ham.

PSG have completed the £57million signing of Bournemouth central defender Illia Zabarnyi.

The deal is worth an initial £54.45m (€63m) plus £2.6m (€3m) in bonuses.

The Cherries consider those add-ons to be easily achievable and they have now overturned £33m profit after paying just £24m to sign the Ukrainian from Dynamo Kyiv in January 2023.

Zabarnyi was desperate to join the European champions and has signed a five-year contract at Parc des Princes.

It's understood he will travel to Italy with his new team-mates for the European Super Cup final against Tottenham but he is unlikely to play.

Bournemouth have now lost three members of last season's backline after also cashing in on Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez.

Atalanta believe they can land Rodrigo Muniz for less than Fulham's asking price, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness).

The Serie A side believe £35m will be enough to land the Brazilian, who was linked with Newcastle earlier in the window.

Muniz, 24, scored eight league goals last term and 11 in all competitions.

Chelsea are happy with their current keepers despite Gianluigi Donnarumma seemingly becoming available, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen shared goalkeeping duties last term, while Mike Penders remains highly rated despite going out on loan.

Chelsea offloaded other keepers earlier in the summer, with Kepa joining Arsenal and Djordje Petrovic moving to Bournemouth, but aren't planning another addition.

"I believe Suarez, who arrived from Almeria, is an excellent forward.

Well, Jack Grealish's loan move to Everton looks like a matter of when and not if.

The England star is due to spend the season at Hill Dickinson Stadium as he aims to play himself back into international contention.

If he does well enough, Everton will be able to sign the Manchester City star permanently for a reported £50million.
