The first window for this summer's Club World Cup has come and gone but there's only five days to wait until the next one opens.

Liverpool are close to breaking the British transfer record with a move for Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz but three issues remain.

Liverpool still have plenty to sort when it comes to the signing of Florian Wirtz despite a deal being close.

They remain locked in talks with Bayer Leverkusen over add-ons, the structure of the transfer and payments as no agreement is finalised.

Wirtz, 22, has not yet been given permission to travel for a medical yet and nothing has been arranged.

There's only been nine days of business so far but clubs have already been busy.

Manchester City have splashed the cash with moves for Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki and Marcus Bettinelli.

It was to allow clubs to add new players ahead of the Club World Cup.The window will REOPEN on Monday June 16.
