The forward is keen to leave the Santiago Bernabeu outfit and Arsenal have been eyeing a move in recent weeks.

Bayern Munich are also monitoring the situation closely, though they have Liverpool’s Luis Diaz at the top of their transfer priorities.

Liverpool make £120m Isak approach
Liverpool have approached Newcastle United with the idea of a £120million deal for Alexander Isak, according to The Athletic.
The Reds are on the hunt for a new striker as they prepare to cash in on Darwin Nunez.
Newcastle insist Isak is not for sale, despite the fact they are closing in on a move for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike.
Liverpool are yet to make a formal bid for Isak but that could change if they get an indication that he could be attainable.

Aston Villa close in on £13m sale
Aston Villa are set to bank £13million for a player who has never even pulled on the claret and blue.
Enzo Barrenechea arrived alongside Samuel Iling-Junior last summer as part of a player-plus-cash swap with Juventus for Douglas Luiz.
The Argentine went straight on loan to Valencia last season, and now he is in line to be sold.
Fabrizio Romano claims that Barrenechea has agreed a five-year deal with Benfica, and Villa are close to approving the final details of a £13m transfer.

Bayern send improved Luis Diaz bid
Liverpool have immediately rejected an improved bid for Luis Diaz, according to The Athletic.
There were murmurs of a £44.8million offer from Bayern Munich earlier this month, and they have now upped it to £58.6m.
But Liverpool have informed suitors that they value Diaz north of £87m, and that they have no intention of selling him this summer.
There could be more twists and turns coming, however, as Diaz has reportedly made it clear to Anfield bosses that he wants to leave.

Man Utd and Prem duo chase goalkeeper talent
Manchester United, Sunderland and Leeds are in contention to sign Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens, according to Gazet van Antwerpen.
The 23-year-old has been scouted extensively since gaining notoriety in his homeland.
And Royal Antwerp sporting director Marc Overmars has openly admitted that this summer is the right time to make a sale.
He said: "The transfer of Senne Lammens has to happen because we’ve already signed his replacement.
There are plenty of clubs ready to make a move."
United are battling an injury problem between the sticks as Andre Onana (hamstring) faces a race to be ready for the first game of the season.

Brentford unveil Jordan Henderson
Brentford have unveiled statement signing Jordan Henderson after the former Liverpool captain signed a two-year deal.
The England midfielder, 35, has spent the past two years of his career overseas with Saudi side Al-Ettifaq and Dutch giants Ajax.
But he will make his Premier League return at the Gtech Community Stadium this season, with new boss Keith Andrews welcoming an experienced head to the dressing room.
"I've always had huge admiration for the club and what they've achieved over the past few years," said Henderson.
"After a couple of years away I have that fire to come back and play in the Premier League again.
It's a big challenge but one that I was keen on doing."

Liverpool name Konate price
Liverpool want £43.5million to sell Ibrahima Konate this summer, according to AS.
The French defender's heart is believed to be set on a move to Real Madrid, and with less than a year left to run on his contract, the Reds are at risk of losing him on a free transfer in 12 months' time.
Anfield bosses have tried and failed to agree a contract extension with Konate and his camp.
And Los Blancos are preparing a 'take-it-or-leave-it offer' to test Liverpool's resolve.
But the Reds may be disappointed to learn that the proposal in the works is likely to fall between £17.4m and £21.7m.

Hugo Ekitike to Newcastle latest
Newcastle United are in talks with Eintracht Frankfurt and Hugo Ekitike's entourage to try and thrash out a move for the in-demand striker.
According to transfer expert Ben Jacobs, the Magpies have 'sent a delegation' to Germany as negotiations continue.
There were also reports of Ekitike's agent flying to Newcastle earlier this week.
Newcastle reportedly believe that Frankfurt will come down on their £87million asking price as the transfer window wears on.
Eddie Howe is keen to pair Ekitike with Alexander Isak and form a deadly strike partnership.

Liverpool deal in danger
The sale of Darwin Nunez to Napoli is in jeopardy unless Liverpool are willing to budge on their £51million asking price, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The report adds that Liverpool have so far refused to come down on the figure despite the fact Nunez fell out of favour with Arne Slot last season.
Napoli are pushing ahead with their efforts to sign fellow striker Lorenzo Lucca as manager Antonio Conte wants his playing ranks sorted well before the start of the season.
So Nunez's switch could 'crumble' unless a breakthrough is made soon.

"I'm leaving Valencia as a man," he told SER.

Man Utd admit defeat over Antony price
Manchester United have admitted defeat in trying to sell Antony for £43million this summer and lowered their asking price to around £26m, according to TEAMtalk.
Real Betis are keen to take the Brazilian on loan for another season but United would rather offload him permanently.
The Red Devils stand little to no chance of recouping anywhere near the full £86m they paid to Ajax in 2022.
And they are seemingly willing to cut their losses in order to draw a line under the failed move.
