The goalkeeper spent 12 years at Old Trafford but was released by former boss Erik ten Hag in the summer of 2023 before joining Fiorentina a year later.

Manchester United chief executive Omar Berrada has backed the club’s summer signings to succeed at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have been guilty of signing a string of flops in recent years, but will be hoping their 2025 summer arrivals will take the club forward.
United begin their new Premier League campaign by hosting Arsenal later on today.
And discussing the new players in his programme notes, Berrada explained: “We're delighted to have Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Diego Leon with us and we're confident about the impact they will have.”

Tottenham strike Eze agreement
Tottenham have struck an agreement with Crystal Palace winger Eberechi Eze, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The England international has told the Eagles that he has a desire to move on, with transfer negotiations advancing.
But a deal is yet to be done and Palace boss Oliver Glasner will make a decision with his staff over whether to include Eze in the squad to face Chelsea this afternoon.

Liverpool will move on to other targets if they can’t reach an agreement with Newcastle in their pursuit of Alexander Isak.
