Liverpool have turned heads by moving for Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz.

The attacking midfielder had been linked with Manchester City and Bayern Munich, but City pulled out of the running and Bayern now believe he's heading to Merseyside - although a Premier League-record fee is still yet to be agreed.

Manchester United are close to landing Wolves forward Matheus Cunha by paying his £62.5m release clause, while Ipswich forward Liam Delap is now free to speak to other clubs ahead of a £30m move.

Arsenal are also chasing a centre-forward with Viktor Gyokeres their number one target.

The Gunners aren't just looking to upgrade the striker position, though, as Real Madrid winger Rodrygo is also on Mikel Arteta's wish-list.

KEY EVENTGyokeres responds to Arsenal links

Arsenal target Viktor Gyokeres says that he doesn't know what the future holds after firing Sporting Lisbon to the double.

Gyokeres' 101st-minute penalty sent the Taca de Portugal final to extra-time as Sporting ran out 3-1 winners against rivals Benfica, who they pipped to the Primeira Liga title last week.

The Swedish striker has been heavily linked with a £60million move to Arsenal and he was asked about the speculation post-match.

"I don't know anything, I tried to focus on the last few games, if something is true we'll see," Gyokeres admitted.

Manchester United have reached a full agreement over the signing of Wolves forward Matheus Cunha.

Wolves will receive his £62.5million release clause in installments, according to Italian media.

Cunha, 25, will sign a contract until 2030 plus the option of a one-year extension.

The Brazilian appeared to wave goodbye to Wolves supporters following yesterday's 1-1 draw at home to Brentford.

Arne Slot has hinted Liverpool are close to completing the signings of Florian Wirtz and Bayer Leverkusen team-mate Jeremie Frimpong in a £100million-plus double deal.

The Reds have beaten Bayern Munich in the race to sign German forward Wirtz while they've triggered Dutch right-back Frimpong's release clause.

Slot revealed to Sky Sports after lifting the Premier League trophy yesterday: "We know, the club, Richard [Hughes], the ownership, we are all aligned on what we are trying to achieve.
