Liverpool owners FSG have given the green light over a deal to sign Florian Wirtz, according to Bild.
It is claimed the Reds received budget approval from their owners last week, paving the way for a deal to be done.
Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly pushing for a transfer fee of around £126m but Liverpool are trying to bring that number down.
The report suggests they are willing to shell out just over £113m to bring Wirtz to Anfield this summer.
Everything suggests that a deal will be agreed at some stage, with the player thought to be keen on making the switch.
