United, who finished 15th in the Premier League last season, have added Matheus Cunha to their squad and are said to be closing in on Bryan Mbeumo, while champions Liverpool are in pursuit of Milos Kerkez after snapping up Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong.

Arsenal’s main summer transfer target appears to be Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, while their north London rivals Tottenham could be set for a fecund summer after appointing Thomas Frank as manager.

Man Utd set Mbeumo transfer fee

Manchester United are willing to pay Brentford £63million plus add-ons in exchange for Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo, according to TEAMtalk.

Personal terms between Mbeumo and United have already been agreed, but the final details of the transfer are still to be defined between the Red Devils and Brentford.

Onana keen to stay at Man Utd

Andre Onana is keen to stay at Manchester United and show his worth to Ruben Amorim, according to The Guardian.

The goalkeeper has come under fire since arriving at Old Trafford two years ago following a string of high-profile mistakes and is a target for Monaco.

“We are going to make that evaluation for any position in the squad,” Amorim explained last season.

So we cannot go with 26, 27 players this season because there would be more without playing, and step by step maybe a few players are going to more.”

Club World Cup star Cuiabano could soon be plying his trade in the Premier League, with Brighton and Nottingham Forest battling it out for his signature, according to The Mirror.

Brighton have had three bids rejected for the Botafogo left-back, with the latest one said to be worth £7.7million including add-ons.

Cuiabano, 22, has made two substitute appearances at the Club World Cup, with Botafogo winning their first two matches against Seattle and Paris Saint-Germain.

Liverpool have hit a stumbling block in their pursuit of Marc Guehi as the England defender is open-minded about his next destination and will not be rushed into a decision about his future, according to The Guardian.

Arsenal prepare Zubimendi announcement

Arsenal are said to be preparing a statement to announce the signing of Spain international Martin Zubimendi.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the deal has never been in doubt and the midfielder is now 100 per cent an Arsenal player.

Manchester United have been given the green light to pursue a deal for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez as the Argentina international is desperate to push through a move to Old Trafford, according to The Sun.

Martinez is said to be sold on the idea of joining United and has turned down offers from big clubs as he wants to secure a move to the Red Devils.

A source to the publication: “Emi is big pals with Argentina team-mate Lisandro Martinez and is keen to move.

He has already knocked back a couple of big hitters in the hope of joining United.”
