Viktor Gyokeres has reportedly turned down talks with Sporting after a rumoured falling out between the player and the club.

Gyokeres was said to be willing to "go on strike" in order to force a move away from the club.

And it's now been claimed by Record that Sporting have offered Gyokeres 'clear the air' talks, which the striker declined.

Sporting president Federico Varandas recently said: "I can guarantee that Viktor Gyökeres will not leave for €60m+10m (£51m+£8.5m) because I never promised him that.

"This game that the agent is playing only makes the situation worse.

To this day, Sporting has not had an offer for Viktor Gyökeres, neither today nor last season."
