Arsenal knocked back

Arsenal have been told by Rennes that Jeremy Jacquet is not for sale, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Gunners have identified the young defender as a target to replace either Oleksandr Zinchenko or Jakub Kiwior, who could both leave the Emirates before the end of the month.

But their pursuit of Jacquet - a 20-year-old centre-back - may need to be put on hold until 2026 as Rennes don't want to sell him yet.

And the Ligue 1 club have leverage as they tied Jacquet down to a long-term contract in May.

Liverpool set Darwin Nunez price

Liverpool want £61million to sell Darwin Nunez this summer, according to talkSPORT.

Anfield bosses are keen to offload the Uruguayan but they won't do so on the cheap.

Al-Hilal are working on a deal for Nunez and personal terms are being discussed.

If they are agreed, the Saudi Pro League side are expected to send an opening bid.

The funds from Nunez's sale could boost Liverpool's chances of signing Alexander Isak from Newcastle.

The Reds signed Nunez from Benfica for an initial £64m in 2022.

Benjamin Sesko decision

Newcastle and Manchester United can expect a decision from Benjamin Sesko 'soon', according to Sky Germany.

The striker's agents met with RB Leipzig bosses on Sunday after Newcastle made a bid worth £70million.

United are also in the equation and considering whether to send a rival offer.

Sesko's preference will be crucial in determining where he goes.

The 22-year-old was recently thought to favour United but no final decision has been made as yet.
