Man Utd's Trippier bid rejected

Kieran Trippier has emerged as one of Manchester United’s main targets for the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are looking to provide competition to current first-choice Aaron Wan-Bissaka, after seeing the positive impact the signing of Alex Telles has had on Luke Shaw.

Trippier would also provide United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a more attacking option in the right-back position.

The Englishman has impressed at Atletico Madrid, becoming Diego Simeone’s first-choice right-back as they won La Liga.

But United appear to have suffered a blow in their pursuit of the 30-year-old after reportedly seeing their opening bid rejected.
