Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold shared emotional messages after the heartbreaking loss of their teammate Diogo Jota on Thursday.
The tragic incident in Spain shocked the football world, resulting in the deaths of Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre Silva.
He was part of Liverpool’s Premier League triumph as well, lifting the trophy in May.
Trent Alexander-Arnold was present during those title celebrations with Jota before leaving the club to join Real Madrid.
The right-back shared an emotional tribute: “It’s so difficult to find the right words when your head and heart are struggling to accept that someone you care so much about has gone.
Diogo, your family was your world.
Rest in peace, Diogo.”
Mohamed Salah remained silent on Thursday, but his heartbreak was clear when he posted on Instagram the next day.

Salah shared a heartfelt message on Friday, writing: “I am truly lost for words.
It’s going to be extremely difficult to accept that Diogo won’t be there when we go back.”
He added: “My thoughts are with his wife, his children, and of course his parents who suddenly lost their children.
They will never be forgotten.”
Liverpool also paid tribute to Jota by announcing the decision to immortalise his number 20 shirt.
