Trent Alexander-Arnold has ended months of speculation over his future by confirming his intention to leave Liverpool when his contract expires next month, paving the way for a free transfer to Real Madrid.
The Reds' vice captain will depart his boyhood club at the end of June and is now certain to move to Madrid as a free agent after over two decades at Anfield.
After a season of virtual silence on his long-term plans, Alexander-Arnold confirmed his intentions on his social media accounts at 10am on Monday morning, bringing an end to a wildly successful stint with the Reds that saw him win every top-level trophy available.

Alexander-Arnold will leave having won two Premier League titles, two League Cups, an FA Cup, a FIFA Club World Cup and the 2019 Champions League.
The news comes just eight days after Alexander-Arnold was confirmed as a Premier League champion for the second time with the Reds.
And while the development is no major surprise for Reds supporters, it will be viewed as hugely disappointing to lose a player of the England international's calibre for nothing.
He announced: "After 20 years at Liverpool Football Club, now is the time for me to confirm that I will be leaving at the end of the season.
