Trent Alexander-Arnold received positive messages of support from multiple members of the Real Madrid dressing room after making an Instagram post to commemorate his 'first win in white'.



While his first outing was not an entirely positive one, as he played in a 1-1 draw with Saudi side Al-Hilal last Wednesday, his second on Sunday resulted in a comfortable 3-1 win over Pachuca.

After the game, Alexander-Arnold posted a series of photos with the caption: "First win in white!

The light-hearted banter between the pair evidently went down well as almost 70,000 users 'liked' the comment.

Alexander-Arnold appears to be getting on well in his new environment, and he will have been helped by the Spanish he learned before moving to the Bernabeu.

The 26-year-old admits he still has plenty to take on board, but with players like Huijsen who have experience of playing in England, there is no language barrier at all.

"I mean, unless it’s like Spanish to Spanish players, then if me or Jude are involved, then the lads will tend to speak in English so we can understand," Alexander-Arnold told the Real Madrid YouTube channel.

The meetings and the tactical talks are all in Spanish so they take some getting used to.

"But in terms of day to day conversations, it’s easy.

I have a decent base level of Spanish so I can hold a decent conversation with the lads and likewise they have a very good understanding of English so it’s easy to communicate."
