Former Real Madrid midfielder Geremi has warned Trent Alexander-Arnold that if he doesn’t start well at the Bernabeu, things could soon get difficult for him.
The full-back confirmed his departure from Liverpool near the end of the season, with Real Madrid paying the Reds around £10m to sign him in time for the Club World Cup.
Alexander-Arnold had been at the club since he was six years old, so it will be a whole new experience for him over in Spain.

Although the 26-year-old has always been praised for his creative abilities, his defending has often seen a lot of criticism.
Geremi, who played for Madrid from 1999 to 2003 and won two Champions Leagues with the Spanish Giants, has sent Alexander-Arnold a warning.

Geremi was speaking to BoyleSports, who offer the latest FIFA Club World Club betting, and said: “The mentality at Real Madrid is different to any other club, they will demand the very best from Trent Alexander-Arnold from his debut and that is hard to handle.
“They didn’t win a major trophy last season so that will add even more pressure, you have to hope that his new team-mates will help him rise to the occasion and adapt to his new surroundings.
“He has a new manager and new team-mates, it’s about gelling as quickly as possible for Alexander-Arnold or things could get very difficult for him.”
