Liverpool are out of the Europa League after losing 3-1 on aggregate to Atalanta.

The Reds were in better shape for yesterday’s away leg in Italy, but left themselves far too much to do to turn the tie around.

Focus must now shift solely to the Premier League, where Liverpool have six games left to send Jurgen Klopp out on the highest of highs.

Unfortunately, the Reds’ fate is no longer in their own hands where the title is concerned.

Having been beaten disappointingly by Crystal Palace last weekend, they’re going to need a slip-up or two from Manchester City.

After last night’s rather uninspiring display against Atalanta, plenty of Liverpool supporters will be feeling at a low ebb this morning.

Although he admitted that he ‘ran out of juice’ in the second-half, it was great to see the 25-year-old out there pulling the strings again.

His return is one of the positives Liverpool can take into the final half-dozen games of the campaign.

There are now just six games remaining of Jurgen Klopp’s reign as Liverpool manager.

It boggles the mind a little bit.

Of course, the manager will get his big send off whether the Reds lift the Premier League title on May 19th or not.

He’s even already picked the band he wants to play to close out his reign at Liverpool.

Before then though, Liverpool just have to try and win as many of their final dirty half-dozen as they can.
