Determined not to repeat that scenario, Alexander-Arnold waited.

They now face Arsenal, then Brighton away, before finishing the season at Anfield against Crystal Palace on May 25 - a match that will likely mark Alexander-Arnold's final bow in a Liverpool shirt.
