With four games to spare, the Reds can now enjoy a victory lap — and their first stop is at the Bridge, where two of their almost-signings await.

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca confirmed the decision in his pre-match press conference.

“Yes.

“They won the Premier League so they deserve it.”

Maresca also spoke about what the moment might mean for his players.

“Probably in their mind, our players are thinking; ‘I would like one day to be there.’”

The Blues’ coach believes his side is making progress.

“My feeling is we are in the right direction, and hopefully this gap can be smaller and smaller and smaller.”
