Tyler Morton's brother has voiced his appreciation towards Liverpool supporters for being "so supportive" following the 22-year-old's completion of a move to Ligue 1 this summer.
Morton has signed for Olympique Lyonnaise in a $20 million (£15 million) deal, penning a five-year contract with the French club after spending more than a decade with the Reds.
The defensive midfielder arrived at Liverpool's academy at just seven years of age, progressing through the ranks to the first team and making his competitive bow in 2021 against Norwich City.
He featured 14 times for the Reds over four seasons, whilst also enjoying loan spells at Blackburn Rovers and Hull City.

Morton's brother Nathan has expressed his affection for Liverpool supporters, posting an emotional tribute on social media following the club's confirmation of the transfer, with the Reds already deciding on his replacement.
On X, he posted: "Nothing will ever beat the feeling of watching my little brother play for the club we love every time he stepped on the pitch," accompanied by a red heart emoji.
This heartfelt message prompted an overwhelming response of affection from Liverpool fans, with one responding: "Your brother's a gem
Can't wait to see him getting more minutes - he's got everything to smash it in France!".
Another commented: "Just so you know each and everyone of us at Liverpool loves Tyler
Best of luck on his new chapter."
A third supporter added: "Good luck for you and your family in your next stop." Numerous additional supportive messages followed, leading Nathan to express gratitude to all supporters for their responses to his post.
He commented: "Thanks everyone for your comments I've had a good hour reading through them all, very thankful to see everyone so supportive."
Whilst Morton didn't secure any major silverware with the Reds - given his limited first-team appearances at the club - the 22 year old has achieved success elsewhere in his career.
The midfielder played a crucial role in England's under-21s squad that claimed the Euros in Slovakia this summer.
Despite missing the semi-final clash against the Netherlands through suspension, Morton returned for the final and delivered the assist for the decisive goal against Germany - helping retain the trophy alongside former Red Jarell Quansah and current Liverpool star Harvey Elliott.
In Liverpool's official statement confirming the youngster's departure, they also extended their best wishes to the midfielder, stating: "Everyone at LFC would like to wish Tyler all the very best for the future."
The Reds continue to concentrate on strengthening their squad with ambitions of future dominance in the Premier League and Europe.
