Tyrone Mings has sent a warning to Morgan Rogers after wrestling from the Aston Villa training ground emerged.
It was an awkward start for Unai Emery’s side as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Newcastle where Marco Bizot shone on debut.
The Villains went down to 10-men after Ezri Konsa committed a last man standing foul on Anthony Gordon who was clear through on goal.
Worryingly for the Spaniard, his midfield were completely disjointed, lacking any sort of final pass to give Ollie Watkins service as they now turn their attention to the next league game against Brentford.

In a post on Instagram stories (21 August), a video caught the English duo messing around in training as the centre-back lifted the midfielder over his shoulders.
Mings shared an original story captioned: “Some scoring sequence that” with the defender replying to the video by saying: “Morgan Rogers [you’re] lucky I didn’t go side control.”

Football Insider verdict
Given the ongoing Alexander Isak drama at Newcastle, I was very concerned by the Villa display with Emery’s side not taking advantage of their opponent’s off-field distractions.
They now head to London to take on Brentford who were awful against Nottingham Forest as they lost 3-1 in a very one-sided affair.
Keith Andrews looks to be very out of his depth in west London in his first manager role of his career, plunging doubts amongst Bees fans if the board have got this call right.

If the Villains don’t dismantle Brentford in their own backyard, questions will be asked of the squad and whether they can compete another year in European football.
Without a doubt, the Spanish coach has all the right players to play the brand of football he wants, yet the former Arsenal manager must quickly fix his disjointed midfield in order to push on this season.
The Bees shouldn’t provide much of a sting but the Birmingham-based club cannot rest on their laurels, despite being the clear favourites to take the three points.
