Liverpool will kick off their 2025/26 UEFA Champions League league phase campaign at Anfield against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.

The Reds, who topped the league phase last season before exiting on penalties to eventual winners PSG in the Round of 16, will be aiming to make a stronger push this term under Arne Slot’s leadership.

adidas has unveiled the official match ball for the 2025/26 Champions League, which will be used from the group stage opener at Anfield through to the final in Budapest next year.

The ball features the tournament’s signature star-panel design on a pristine white base, accented with gold outlines and deep-blue tones inspired by the night sky.

Each panel is hand-adorned with zodiac signs in gold.

Built to enhance top-level performance, the new ball incorporates:

PRISMA surface texture for superior precision and enhanced swerve

Sustainable materials, including corn fibres, sugar cane, wood pulp, and natural rubber, making it the most eco-conscious Champions League ball to date

In a continued commitment to social impact, adidas will donate 1% of global net sales from all footballs, including the new Champions League model, to Common Goal initiatives that leverage football to drive positive change in underserved communities.
