UFC star Paddy Pimblett poses alongside Diogo Jota

UFC superstar Paddy the Baddy has penned an emotional tribute to Diogo Jota after the Liverpool forward tragically passed away on Thursday.

The 28-year-old was involved in a road traffic accident in the Zamora region of Spain alongside his brother, Andre Silva.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 1 am on Thursday morning, with both men later confirmed to have died as a result of the accident.



In the hours since the tragic news rocked the footballing world, figures from around the world - including Jurgen Klopp and Cristiano Ronaldo - paid tribute to the Portugal international.



Now, UFC lightweight star and avid Liverpool fan Paddy 'the Baddy' Pimblett has become the latest to do so, writing on Instagram that Jota's legacy will "never be forgotten".

After signing from Wolverhampton Wanderers in September 2020, Jota helped Liverpool win the Premier League, FA Cup and two League Cup across his 182 appearances for the Reds.
