Lijnders wrote about Robertson in The Times: “He understands our game so well. We stimulate the eyes and the mind between Sadio Mané, Georginio Wijnaldum and him constantly.

“Even his crossfield passes to Trent Alexander-Arnold is a proof of that. His connection and timings between the players who form the outside left triangle is of an unbelievable high level.

“He anticipates very well and this is what gives him a second more to make good decisions.”

Robertson is one of the best left-backs in Europe and is a big player for Liverpool.

The former Hull City star is very good defensively and is brilliant going on the attack.

The 27-year-old scored one goal and gave seven assists in the Premier League this past season.

During the 2019-20 campaign, Robertson found the back of the net twice in the league.

The left-back also provided 12 assists in the league that campaign, and provided 11 assists in the Premier League in 2018-19.

Liverpool did not have the best of seasons in 2020-21.

Like the rest of his teammates, Robertson was not at his best.

However, the left-back showed on many times how important he is to the team.

Robertson is vital to the way Liverpool attack.

For Jurgen Klopp’s side to reclaim the Premier League title next season, the Scotland international will be a key figure.
