As the end of the season draws closer, Liverpool supporters are already starting to look ahead to the new campaign.
With a busy transfer window slated, the Reds could look quite different after some significant investment in the team.
One area of the Liverpool squad which is set to receive the biggest surgery is in attack, where a new centre-forward is nailed on to arrive.
As well as central striker, though, Liverpool have also been linked with adding another wide forward as well.
Luis Diaz has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, where he could follow Darwin Nunez.
However, Sky Sports reported on Friday that Liverpool are planning to open new contract talks with Diaz at the end of the campaign.
With Diaz now looking more likely to stay at Anfield, it seems to be the end of the road for one Premier League player dreaming of a move to Merseyside.

Diaz has been a standout performer for Liverpool during their successful title run-in.
The Colombian has really enhanced his chances of staying.
But while that is good news for Diaz – and for Liverpool, really – it could be bad news for others.

Certainly, those keen for the Reds to bring in a new left winger this summer are now set to be disappointed.
With Cody Gakpo also very likely to stay, there’s little chance of a third option arriving alongside the Dutchman and Diaz.
Although he signed a new contract at Newcastle during this season, one player who would surely have been back on the agenda as a new left wing addition this summer would have been Anthony Gordon.

Gordon is a boyhood Liverpool fan who was reportedly dreaming of a move to Anfield last year.
But with the 28-year-old staying and signing a new contract, there would be no room for anyone else.
Had Gordon arrived, he and Gakpo would have been expected to lock down the left side of Liverpool’s attack for years to come.
At 24, Gordon is four years younger than Diaz and would represent a nod towards the future as well as the present.
If he had returned to Merseyside, though, Gordon could have closed the window of opportunity for young Rio Ngumoha to break through into the first-team.
With Diaz being closer to the end of his carer, there’s less time, in theory, for Ngumoha to have to wait for an opportunity.
A new, younger player such as Gordon coming in would have potentially knocked the 16-year-old further down the pecking order as he awaits an expected breakthrough.
Gordon has been ‘unbelievable’ for Newcastle and had he arrived it would have to stay at Liverpool for years.
Some would have preferred a newer option coming in, but taking everything into account, we think Diaz staying is the smart option to take.
