Journalist provides Ruben Amorim to Liverpool update after he flies to England for talks

Potential new Liverpool manager Ruben Amorim has flown to the UK tonight for talks in England but it’s not looking like good news for Reds fans.

Amorim has been tipped for weeks as the replacement Liverpool had decided on to replace Jurgen Klopp.

Amorim’s name emerged as a favourite after Xabi Alonso decided to stay in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen.

Of course, other names have been linked such as Roberto De Zerbi and Julian Nagelsmann. But as of now, there’s been little to no movement on those managers coming in, with Nagelsmann also opting to remain with Germany for now.

Today saw another blow for Liverpool when reports emerged of West Ham’s interest in Ruben Amorim.

And according to a late update from journalist Alex Crook, it looks like Liverpool will not be getting their man after all.

Liverpool unlikely to appoint Ruben Amorim

Taking to X to share the update, Crook has said it now seems unlikely Amorim is given the Liverpool job after flying to the UK For talks this evening.

Ultimately, this is just a case of the show must go on for Liverpool, FSG and Michael Edwards.

The key detail here is that it seems Liverpool seem to have actively gone against for Amorim as their choice of next manager.

Quite where this leaves them though, remains to be seen.

Of course, Liverpool fans will be trusting the process. But as the weeks tick by, it seems more and more names seem to be dropping out of the running.

Liverpool fans will now be eagerly awaiting the next big name to be linked.

Amorim, it seems, is very much on his way to replace David Moyes at West Ham.
