That’s certainly the view of Owen, who has claimed that ‘everybody’ will be wanting to play for Liverpool just now.

“Use your badge,” the pundit told premierleague.com.

“I don’t care that they’re not going to win the Champions League this year, they’re probably the best team in Europe, probably the world at the moment.”

“This team is a winning machine at the moment and everybody wants to join.

“But there are a lot of players out there that would walk to Liverpool to be in that squad,” Owen adds.

Have those types of players as your back-ups or bring them through the academy.”

While Owen is likely right that Liverpool are one of the most attractive clubs to join at the moment, he also thinks the Reds will not go overboard in terms of expenditure this summer.
