Liverpool players were among those to react to an update regarding Hugo Ekitike whilst on international break.
Arne Slot’s side remain the only team to have won all three fixtures in the Premier League, sitting top of the table as they look to defend their title.
The hierarchy have certainly backed the manager with Liverpool breaking the British transfer record to sign Alexander Isak, alongside Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike.
Since his summer arrival, Ekitike has impressed in a Liverpool shirt, netting three times in all competitions.
With players now on international duty, an update regarding the striker earned reactions from his teammates.

Ekitike had been called up to the France senior squad for the first time following Rayan Cherki’s injury, and he has now made his official debut with his national team against Ukraine.
Liverpool’s official Instagram account posted the update on Instagram, which saw numerous players react as captain Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Dominik Szoboszlai all liking the update.

France beat Ukraine in a 2-0 victory thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappe and Michael Olise, who has been linked to Liverpool himself.
Ekitike made a substitute appearance during the game.
The win over Ukraine was the side’s first fixture in the World Cup qualifiers, and will face Iceland on 9 September, who currently top the group.
Whether or not Ekitike makes his full debut remains to be seen, but his recent performances have clearly caught Didier Deschamps’ eyes.

While Konate was active on social media and played alongside his club teammate during France’s win against Ukraine, his future at Anfield continues to be under scrutiny.
Football Insider revealed that Liverpool will be willing to listen to offers for Konate in the January transfer window if they cannot agree on a new contract.
Liverpool have been planning new talks with Konate after they failed to sign Marc Guehi on deadline day, but after talks stalled earlier this year, the club look to avoid losing him for free.
