Liverpool are expecting a huge overhaul in their attack this summer.
The Reds scored the most goals in the Premier League last season after netting 86 times, proving once again how they have one of the most dangerous attacks.
However, not many of these came from an out-and-out striker, with their biggest source of goals originating from either flank.
A new number nine is, therefore, a top priority this summer and the current one, Darwin Nunez, is almost certain to depart.
Saudi Arabian clubs were interested in Nunez, although all the signs suggest the Uruguayan wants to stay in Europe, and he isn’t short of suitors there either.
Napoli in particular has caught his eye and after the latest major update, he appears to be very keen to make the switch.

Unfortunately, Nunez’s time at Liverpool will be considered a flop after only scoring 40 goals in 143 games.
However, he has shown flashes of promise, hence the reason why he is wanted by so many top European clubs, especially in Italy.

And, according to Fabrizio Romano, he has confirmed that Nunez is desperate to join the Serie A winners after being impressed by the project they laid out to him.
“I want to close with an important update regarding Darwin Nunez because I can assure you that after the contacts that took place over the weekend between Nunez and Napoli, there is a total openness and total appreciation from the player to Napoli,” Romano said on his YouTube channel.
“To the Napoli project, to Antonio Conte, to the ideas presented by the club.
In short, Darwin Nunez has opened up in a totally important way to Napoli.
We know that there are many clubs after Darwin, that there is a very important economic request from Liverpool.
So, we are working in that direction and they will continue to do so throughout this week.”
Not only does Nunez suit the Serie A rather nicely, but going to Napoli could also prove beneficial to Liverpool too.
The Reds have been keen on their striker Victor Osimhen for quite some time, indicating that a swap deal could be suggested by Richard Hughes.
There have already been rumours of this, with Federico Chiesa also a potential player that Liverpool could use as the Italians are interested, although money would still likely need to be included.
It might be a long shot but we have seen stranger moves happen, and with Hughes at the helm, anything is possible in total honesty.
