Liverpool have spent big amounts of money this summer but they may already have some current stars ready to break into the team.
The Reds face the tricky task of retaining their Premier League title, an achievement that not too many teams have managed before them.
However, based on their transfer activity so far, Liverpool fans will be rather excited about what the upcoming campaign might just have in store, with the club in the best possible position to achieve their goals.
But despite all the big names who have come through the door at Anfield, there is one player who has, arguably, stood out more than most in pre-season, with this being Rio Ngumoha.
The 16-year-old was given the chance to shine by Arne Slot and he has certainly taken it, with many supporters calling for him to be a part of the first-team next season.
Whether he will be is very much up to Slot but all the signs would suggest he will be, something Simon Jordan has had his say on.

Players of Ngumoha’s quality do not come around all too often, and not many can say that they have played for Liverpool Football Club at such a young age.
Not only has he played, but he has starred as well, with the biggest compliment that anyone can pay to him being that he does not look out of place one bit.

However, although he has taken his chance and made a real case as to why he should play a part next season, Jordan told talkSPORT that he is unsure whether he is ready just yet.
“Of course we have the constant example of Lamine Yamal as the blueprint as if you’re good enough you’re old enough,” Jordan said.

“But I would imagine the Max Dowmans of the world and this kid at Liverpool will find their way and they’ll perhaps get game time.
“But I would be very surprised if he [Ngumoha] finds himself as an ever-present and dominant force at this stage, but who knows?”
Ngumoha’s latest performance also means he has now done everything he can to prove why he should be involved, with the winger scoring and assisting on his Anfield debut in a friendly against Athletic Bilbao.
Now, he must continue to show promise and he might be given a chance, perhaps even as early as Sunday when the Reds take on Crystal Palace in the Community Shield.
Whether he is a mainstay in the side or not, Ngumoha should get plenty of minutes next season, or at least a lot more than most 16-year-olds would get.
The early rounds of cup competitions are where most of these minutes will come from, but there is also a good chance he plays Premier League and Champions League football too, mainly coming on to replace Cody Gakpo when he needs a rest.
He is also the type of player that can be effective towards the latter stages of games when defenders are tired, with the Englishman quick and direct with his running, something that will cause real problems.
Of course, fans need to be careful not to overhype the teenage sensation and give him time to grow, although it is easy to see why they may get carried away given the quality he has.
