Liverpool fans are hoping for record signing Alexander Isak to get his first action of the season as Sweden face Slovakia on Friday.
Reds fans have been understandably excited after securing the signing of Isak on Monday’s transfer deadline day and cannot wait to see him in action.
Given the insertion of an international break in September, their first glimpse of their new No.
9 will be while playing for his country.
Isak could play for Liverpool against Burnley on September 14th, but having not featured at all in pre-season, supporters may have to be patient.
The same may be true of Isak for Sweden, although it seems likely that the 25-year-old will play at least some part in their World Cup qualifier.
And in the build-up to the match, Isak has been spotted looking incredibly sharp during training.

In what has been a tumultuous summer for him, Isak has not even trained with teammates since the end of last season.
As a result, Liverpool supporters may need to be more patient than they’d really like to be as Isak gets up to speed once again.

In that respect, the arrival of an international break at this juncture could be helpful for Liverpool, with the striker forced to get any initial rustiness out the way on Sweden’s watch instead.
But judging by a clip posted by the Swedish national team on X, Isak looks ready to go already.

The former Newcastle man picks up the ball and fires in a firm curling effort beyond the goalkeeper’s dive.
With groans and some scattered applause coming from those watching on, Isak smiles and laughs, the tension of a summer long transfer saga behind him at last.
Football fans never want to wait before seeing a new signing play, and they would much rather have seen Isak thrown on in a game at Anfield this weekend rather than turn out for Sweden.
However, given the circumstances of his move, it is perhaps the best situation that could have panned out.
Isak will return to Liverpool next week as he meets his new teammates and Arne Slot for the first time.
Before then, he will hopefully get his eye back in, in what is likely to be a win for Sweden against lesser opposition.
A start in Friday’s game may come too soon for Isak, but he’ll at least get on the pitch and be back up and running.
