Jarell Quansah’s exit from Liverpool this summer has come with plenty of disappointment from supporters.
Quansah perhaps did not play enough under Arne Slot last season, ultimately starting only four games in the Premier League.
Nevertheless, the Liverpool academy graduate clearly had a future at the club, and was more than good enough to play a role as third or fourth choice for the Reds.
Instead, Liverpool are now scrambling in the transfer market to find a young centre-back who can come in and do the job Quansah did.
In the meantime, the 22-year-old secured himself an attractive-looking move to Bayer Leverkusen.
And while Quansah has started well at Leverkusen, he was back in his home country on Friday as the Germans took on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
During a feisty encounter, the former Liverpool man clashed with England teammate Cole Palmer.

Quansah and Palmer should be well acquainted with each other.
Both are more or less the same age and have played in the England U21 set-up together while also being around the first team.
The pair are also from more or less the same part of the country and will likely have been well aware of each other coming through the ranks at Liverpool and Man City respectively.

Nonetheless, that did not stop Palmer from taking issue with Quansah for what he saw as being an overly-exuberant challenge on Friday.
It was late from Quansah – there’s no denying that – and he appeared to catch the Chelsea star with his studs just above the ankle.

After a few customary rolls, Palmer got up and began scuffling with the defender as he was collecting a yellow card from the referee.
Minimum yellow.”
One of the biggest talking points of the final weeks of the transfer window is whether Liverpool will finally replace Quansah.
With just three senior centre-backs now within the Liverpool squad, it would be a real gamble if the Reds chose not to.
Thankfully, they do seem to be on it.
As Rousing The Kop exclusively reported on Friday, Liverpool are considering Charlie Cresswell as a potential new signing.
The 22-year-old starred alongside Quansah during this summer’s European Under 21 Championship and is one of the names under consideration at Anfield.
In the meantime, it is nice to see Quansah showing what he’s all about and ruffling a few feathers.
