In amongst the glory, Wataru Endo may have seemed like an unlikely player for Liverpool fans to latch onto.
Endo did not start a Premier League match until May, and featured for just 261 minutes throughout the whole campaign.
Nevertheless, Endo became a cult hero with Liverpool fans, with his professionalism and his ability to help the Reds close out matches earning him plenty of admirers.
And as the Japanese settles in for another off-season, he has spent some time responding to the love Liverpool supporters continue to show him.

After two years with Liverpool, there has been a question mark lingering over whether Endo will look to move on this summer.
His exit would be widely mourned by supporters, who have once again shown their love for the 32-year-old during an episode of the Wataru Endo Podcast on YouTube.

Sitting down to discuss his feelings following Liverpool’s Premier League title win, Endo is shown a series of clips in which Reds fans directly thank him for his role in delivering the championship.
With virtually every message including a rendition of his song, Endo is asked what the support means to him.

“I really appreciate it, because I feel that Liverpool fans love me,” says the midfielder.
“Because when I come onto the pitch they always sing my song.
They gave me great messages after the game, so I really appreciate it.”
“I love the song,” Endo then admits.
I sometimes sing it, my kids sing it in English.”
As well as responding to messages from fans, Endo also looked back on the moment Liverpool got their hands on the Premier League trophy at Anfield.
As part of the celebrations, every member of the Liverpool squad were afforded their own special moment with the Kop.
Shy as he is, Endo was reluctant to take in the applause himself, but admitted that a little push from Harvey Elliott ensured he got it anyway.
“It was a great feeling for me, and I think my song was sung a little bit earlier, after Mo, Virg, Ali,” he said.
“I went with Harvey to sing that song, it was a great moment.
