Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Reds had been chasing down a striker all summer and they have finally got their man after completing the signing of Ekitike.
The Frenchman has signed a six-year contract and has joined for an initial fee of £69m, a figure that could rise to £79m after add-ons.
The 23-year-old was confirmed on Wednesday night but has already flown out to Hong Kong to join the rest of the team for their pre-season tour of Asia.
With Liverpool holding an open training session on Thursday morning (UK time), Ekitike has already got his first chance to meet up with his new team-mates and manager, with Arne Slot welcoming him with open arms.

Meeting your new team-mates for the first time will, of course, be a scary moment, especially when doing it by yourself.
This is exactly what Ekitike had to do, with the Frenchman walking out onto the pitch in the middle of the Reds’ training session, with all the eyes firmly on him.
However, Slot was as classy as ever and welcomed the striker with a hug, before introducing him to the rest of his new team-mates and, hopefully, eventual friends.

The moment was captured by journalist James Pearce over on his X account, with the fans loudly cheering as he walks over to meet everyone.
Ekitike may not have joined in this training session, but once he has rested and recovered from any jet lag, he is expected to take part as soon as possible.
The Reds have their first game of their pre-season tour of Asia on Saturday 26th July, with this coming against Italian giants AC Milan.
However, this will very likely come too soon for Ekitike as he will barely have trained, suggesting he may watch that one from the bench.
However, four days later Liverpool take on Yokohama F.
Marinos in Japan, a game he is much more likely to feature in and will probably be his debut.
It is certainly a quick turnaround so fans should probably not expect too much from their new striker just yet, but he is definitely a signing to be excited about when the new campaign rolls around.
