The 25-year-old was part of Sweden’s squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Kosovo, before linking up with the Reds on Wednesday.
Isak appeared in high spirits at the club’s training ground, smiling broadly as he joined Arne Slot’s squad for the first time.
The former Real Sociedad forward, who scored 23 Premier League goals last season, is still building up his fitness, and it remains to be seen whether he will be ready to start at Turf Moor against Burnley on Sunday.
He was nevertheless fit enough to make a brief cameo for Sweden on Monday, coming off the bench for the final 20 minutes in their 2-0 defeat to 10-man Kosovo.
After the game, Isak spoke to reporters for the first time about his push to secure a move to Liverpool.
“Not everyone has the full picture, but that’s something for another day,” Alexander Isak said.
“I can’t control everything that’s said or written
But I’m happy that I became a Liverpool player.”
He continued: “It’s great that everything was settled before the camp and that I could focus on playing football again.
“It’s been a fairly new situation for me, but you always learn and develop mentally off the pitch as well.”
Liverpool travel to newly-promoted Burnley this weekend.
Fellow summer arrival Jeremie Frimpong was also present at training.
Frimpong was forced off after 60 minutes in the season opener against Bournemouth, with scans confirming a hamstring problem.
The Netherlands defender missed the victories over Newcastle and Arsenal, remaining on Merseyside during the break to focus on his rehabilitation.
