Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres both completed summer transfers(Image: Michael Campanella/Getty Images)Deadline day Liverpool signing Alexander Isak has been defended by Viktor Gyokeres.
The player himself desperately wanted the move so manoeuvred into a position of refusing to train or play for Eddie Howe's side at the start of this season, and even released a social media statement accusing his former club of breaking past promises.
This all eventually culminated in the 25-year-old's British-record £125m switch to Anfield before the deadline on Monday.

After the process was completed Isak hopped on a jet to his homeland, where has has linked up with the Sweden national team for FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Kosovo.
"I haven't spoken to him too much because he just came.
Not so much more," Arsenal striker Gyokeres, who had already travelled, told Sky Sports about his first interaction with Isak since deadline day.
Gyokeres was part of a summer transfer saga himself in the build up to signing for the Gunners in a £63.7m deal.
It took around one month for that amount and it's make-up including add-ons to be settled with Sporting CP.
During that time the Portuguese media claimed Sporting had a 'gentleman's agreement' with the player, which the club's president would go on to deny.
Gyokeres removed all references of his former club from his Instagram profile and refused to report for pre-season training before joining up with Arsenal.
Therefore he has come to Isak's defence now, as another striker who understands how Liverpool's latest recruit felt in the time it took to negotiate the record transfer.
"I said earlier about my situation, it can the same that you don't really know what has been going on behind, so I don't really know in his case what the situation has been exactly so it's difficult for me to speak about that," the Gunners star explained.
"The clubs have the most power.
[When] it's a player that is not wanted in the club it is the total opposite and he doesn't have any power, the club can literally do whatever they want with the player.
"It is difficult, it is how the situation is."
Gyokeres featured in the Arsenal team that lost 1-0 to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
