Virgil van Dijk committed a bizarre gaffe against Chelsea that left one team-mate completely dumbfounded.
Newly-crowned Premier League champions Liverpool were 1-0 down to Chelsea in the Saturday afternoon kick off.
Enzo Fernandez had put the Blues ahead against the makeshift side as manager Arne Slot rung the changes for the season run-in.
Cole Palmer was the star of the show for much of the afternoon and the England international waltzed around Kostas Tsimikas on the right touchline in the second half.
Palmer fired the ball to the back post for Noni Madueke who mistimed his attempt.
However, the ball rebounded to van Dijk who attempted to clear the ball.
However, the Dutchman instead cannoned the ball off teammate Jarell Quansah before it trundled into the Liverpool net for 2-0.

The former Celtic defender immediately pleaded to the referee that the goal was, somehow, a foul before giving up the plea and looked ashen-faced.
Quansah was pictured moments later with his hands on his knees in disbelief.

Sky Sports commentator Peter Drury branded it an "ugly" goal as Chelsea players gathered to celebrate.
On co-commentary, Gary Neville added: "Van Dijk is asking for a foul.
But he seems to have forgotten about it quite quickly.
"Quansah has got his hands on his knees not really expecting much."
The 33-year-old did make amends with six minutes to go by heading into the net from a corner.
