Speaking after Liverpool’s latest Premier League title triumph, Van Dijk shared the moment that he holds closest to his heart.

“The memories of that day, the photographs, the videos and the pure emotions, they will live with me forever,” he said.

“I’ve enjoyed lots of special moments with this club and in my career so far, but it will take a lot to top this one.”

This wasn’t just any title.

The Dutch defender became the 11th man to captain Liverpool to a league title and the first ever Dutchman in the PL to lift the trophy.

Well, it will be the first time in 35 years that a Liverpool captain will lift the Premier League trophy in front of a packed Anfield.

And Van Dijk isn’t shy about how much it means.

“We are truly deserved champions,” he said.
