With the Premier League title secured, club captain Virgil van Dijk has shared a heartfelt message ahead of Liverpool bus parade later this month.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, van Dijk described his excitement and encouraged fans to do their part in creating a legendary atmosphere.
The parade will roll out on Monday, May 26, just a day after Liverpool wrap up their season against Crystal Palace at Anfield.
That’s not just a crowd — it’s a Kop on wheels.

“Hopefully it will be even better than what we had after the Champions League final [in 2022] and I already encouraged everyone to wear red in the last game,” Van Dijk said.
“Keep doing that for the rest of the season because everyone saw how amazing it was.
Hopefully the 25th will top that and the parade will be even more crazy than ever and there will be even more people coming from around the world to be in Liverpool to come and be with us.”
This won’t be the first time the city has gone parade-crazy.
But this one could top it, especially with fans having a whole month to plan the party since Liverpool sealed the title on April 27.
Van Dijk admitted the 2022 celebration felt “a bit strange” after a Champions League final loss, but this time?
If Van Dijk’s words are anything to go by, this could be one of the greatest parties Merseyside has ever seen.
