Virgil van Dijk congratulated former Liverpool team-mate Roberto Firmino after he guided Al Ahli to AFC Champions League glory on Saturday night.
The Brazilian, 33, captained the Saudi Pro League outfit to a 2-0 victory over Kawasaki Frontale and provided both assists to help his side lift the trophy for the first time.
The former Liverpool forward, who left Anfield in 2023, was embraced by ex-Premier League stars Riyad Mahrez, Ivan Toney and Edouard Mendy before finally getting his hands on the trophy.

"This means so much to me than a trophy, it means fulfilling here what I came to do."That it was to use the gift that GOD gave me to bring JOY to this nation, to give the best of me, on and off the field.
"And to somehow talk about the LOVE of CHRIST that one day reached me."
On Monday, Van Dijk became the latest to show his support for Firmino as he left a hand-clapping emoji underneath his post.
It has been a difficult season for Firmino in the Middle East as he was cut from Al Ahli's squad for the Saudi Pro League in January and therefore only eligible to feature in AFC Champions League fixtures
But despite the setback, the Brazilian was able to show his worth to the Saudi outfit as he scored six goals and laid on seven assists in Al Ahli's 12 games in the AFC Champions League.
Speaking to CBS after the final whistle, he said: “There are no words to express what I feel inside my heart.
