Virgin Media left football fans furious after issues with their broadcast caused havoc in the opening game of the Premier League season.

Liverpool's clash with Bournemouth at Anfield suffered issues midway through the first half which caused many Virgin viewers to miss the opening goal of the 2025/26 season.

"Looks like Virgin Media is playing up again," one fan said as another wrote: "Virgin Media absolute garbage service, website, TV all down or glitching."

Virgin were quick to acknowledge the problem, posting on social media: "Hello, we're aware of an issue affecting TV at the moment," they wrote to one fan
