This is a particularly prudent conversation that needs to happen given the former Fenerbahce boss’s current deal expires at the end of the season.
However, the Midlands club are keeping in mind the mistakes of the past such as handing previous manager Gary O’Neil a four-year deal just prior to the start of the 2024-25 campaign.

The Wanderers had just nine points from 16 games before the Portuguese took over and salvaged them from relegation.
Mixing structured defending and fast counter-attacks the ex-Flamengo boss instilled renewed confidence at Wolves amongst the players and fans.

He was also known to enjoy a celebratory drink at the local Wetherspoon’s, highlighting his love for the city and its people.
After three defeats, two against high-flying Man City and Bournemouth and one against a jubilant Everton crowd, it is unfair to write off the Old Gold so quickly.
The season is a long one and I have faith that Pereira will be able to quickly turn things around in Wolverhampton.
