Jurgen Klopp has been nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Season for his efforts this campaign.
While it will not end as everyone hoped it would, the German has still done admirably this season – especially when considering where Liverpool finished in 2022/23.
The Liverpool manager is among five contenders for the award, nominated alongside Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), Unai Emery (Aston Villa), Pep Guardiola (Manchester City), and Andoni Iraola (AFC Bournemouth).
The German manager will be leaving his position at Liverpool at the end of the season, citing a lack of energy as the main factor.
Since joining Liverpool in 2015, Klopp has led the team to significant achievements, including winning the Premier League in 2020 and the Champions League in 2019.
He has also captured several other titles during his tenure, such as the FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.
At 56 years old, Klopp has announced plans to take a break from coaching, declaring that he will not accept any managerial positions, whether at club or national level, for at least a year.
Furthermore, he has made it clear that he does not intend to manage any other English club besides Liverpool.
In what is his final season at Anfield, Klopp – previously named Premier League Manager of the Season in 2020 and 2022 – has successfully guided Liverpool to a spot in the 2024-25 Champions League.
With only two games left in the top division, Liverpool is assured of at least a third-place finish and could reach 84 points if they secure victories against Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
