West Ham players, both past and present, joined those in response after the club brought back a familiar face who had left only a few months ago.
West Ham have had an underwhelming start to the season, with two losses, an exit from the Carabao Cup and one win.
Graham Potter oversaw a busy summer transfer window with West Ham completing deals for Callum Wilson, Mads Hermansen and Kyle Walker-Peters, among others.
There were also many players who had left to balance the books, with Mohamed Kudus joining Tottenham, while Aaron Cresswell and Lukasz Fabianski departed due to the expiry of their contracts.
However, with Wes Foderingham leaving to join Cypriot First Division club Aris Limassol, the Hammers wanted a new goalkeeper and moved quickly to re-sign Fabianski until the end of the season.

While the transfer window is closed, clubs can still sign free agents, and West Ham made the decision to re-sign Fabianski.
The official club account posted the announcement on Instagram and saw reactions from players both past and present.

Current players such as Walker-Peters and fellow goalkeeper Alphonse Areola shared their reactions by also liking the post.
The Polish international spent seven seasons at the club, where he amassed 216 matches before he was released in June.
Meanwhile, West Ham supporters have slammed Hermansen for his performances so far after joining, with many fans calling for the return of Fabianski.
Now, their calls have been answered.
The 40-year-old is expected to be the third-choice goalkeeper but with Hermansen and Areola’s concerning performances, Fabianski may yet be given another run in the first team.
West Ham hold talks with Lampard.
With the side’s poor start to the campaign, the hierarchy seems to have a plan in place if they sack Potter, as Football Insider revealed West Ham have sounded out Frank Lampard as a replacement.
It is believed that intermediaries have held talks before the side’s 3-0 win away to Nottingham Forest.
Lampard is currently in charge of Coventry City, where he has impressed since his appointment in November 2024, and it remains to be seen whether he is open to a return to East London.
