One former Liverpool midfielder has secured a permanent move to Irish association football club side Waterford FC.

While Liverpool are tidying up, their own transfers before the window slams shut, several former Reds have been on the move.

Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson recently terminated his contract at Dutch side Ajax, ahead of a return to the Premier League with Brentford.

Elsewhere, Anfield cult hero Roberto Firmino is close to securing a move to Qatari club Al-Sadd.

The Brazilian left Al Ahli at the end of last season, but is now set to continue in the Middle East with Al-Sadd.

Suso and Andre Wisdom are another pair of former Anfield stars who completed moves this summer, with the Spanish attacker joining Cadiz, while Wisdom recently signed for FC United of Manchester.

Former Reds midfielder Jordan Rossister has become the latest former Anfield star to secure a permanent move this summer, with the Liverpool-born midfielder completing a move to Irish second division side Waterford FC.

Rossiter came through Liverpool’s academy, going through the club’s youth ranks and featuring five times for the first team.

He left Liverpool in 2016, joining Scottish Premiership side Rangers FC.  Since then, he has played for Bury FC, Fleetwood Town, Bristol Rovers, Shrewsbury Town, and Oldham Athletic.

His latest move sees him join Waterford, with the club confirming his arrival in a statement.

“Waterford FC are delighted to announce the signing of former Liverpool & Rangers midfielder Jordan Rossiter,” the statement on the club’s official website read.

Speaking to the club after signing for the Blues, Rossiter gave his thoughts on signing for the Blues and getting to work closely with the club’s coaches.

“I’m delighted to be here, I’m looking forward to getting going & hopefully getting going as soon as I can,” he said.

“It was a phone call with John Coleman & Danny Ventre.

I know them both quite well, and just the way the club is going.

I watched Friday’s 2-0 win in the Derby against Cork, so I can’t wait to get going now”.

“I’m looking forward to working with John & Danny.

I know what his teams are about – always going to be competitive & I’m looking forward to playing for him”

“I can bring a good bit of experience to the group.

I just love playing football wherever that is, so whether that’s Liverpool, Rangers or Waterford, I just want to enjoy my football, so I’m looking forward to getting out there on the RSC pitch.”
