Former Everton striker Wayne Rooney surprised members of the Overlap studio when stating who he believes are the most annoying fans to play against.
The 39-year-old from Croxteth made 98 appearances for The Toffees during his two spells at the club.
And during his career, the former Everton skipper, who also played for Manchester United, made his fair share of appearances against the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal but admitted he believes another club’s fans are much worse.
Speaking on the Overlap Fan Debate alongside Jamie Carragher and supporters of all 20 Premier League clubs, Rooney went against the rest of the studio, who were unanimous in their selection of Arsenal as the club with the most irritating support, and then made the surprising claim that the club with the most annoying fans are actually Blackpool.
