Liverpool fans had been expecting a third signing of the summer to be announced in the early part of this week.
Supporters have arguably been spoiled by the Reds since the end of the season, with two star additions already through the door.
However, as exciting as the arrivals of Jeremie Frimpong and especially Florian Wirtz have been, there is plenty of business still to be done.
In the world of transfers, fans are always looking for the next fix.
And that is why the delay in getting Milos Kerkez‘s move from Bournemouth over the line is starting to cause concern.
News broke that Liverpool had struck a deal to sign Kerkez for £40m almost one week ago.
The expectation from there was reported to be that the 21-year-old would be officially unveiled by Tuesday.
But as Tuesday and Wednesday ticked by with no news from Anfield regarding Kerkez, journalist David Ornstein has moved to explain what is going on with Liverpool‘s incoming new left-back.

Kerkez and his family have made no secret that he is heading for Liverpool this summer.
Left-back has been an issue for Arne Slot and Kerkez will go a long way towards fixing that.

And according to Ornstein, there is no reason for fans to worry about the announcement delay.
Speaking on The Athletic FC Podcast, the reporter claims the signing ran into some ‘technical bits and bobs’ after Kerkez arrived on Merseyside, but things are still on course to be completed.

“This is a signing they have long pursued,” says Ornstein.
As far as we know he was their top target to strengthen at left-back and it will be interesting to see what they do with the other players there.”
While Liverpool supporters wait anxiously for their new signing to be completed, it seems Kerkez is not worried in the slightest.
As per a post on Instagram stories by his brother Marko, the Hungarian international was in party mode on Wednesday night.
A photo showed Kerkez in a tank top, pink shorts, backwards cap and sunglasses as he celebrated his brother’s birthday.
A further post saw the full-back arm in arm with a friend, as strobe lights flashed around the room.
Don’t worry Liverpool fans, because Kerkez himself certainly doesn’t look concerned.
